Alrighty now. Prompted by an article I read, I recently posted a blog regarding breakfasts and the different kinds of foods out there for this particular morning ritual. I only got (1) one comment. A very tasty one I might add. Amazing that I did not get anymore comments though. I thought for sure this post would provoke some suggestions and provide new ways to eat the first meal of the day. But, nope. Nothing. I am boggled. Yes. Boggled.
Surely there has to be as many kinds of "breakfasts" as there are cultures and countries. Isn't there? Where are they? Who is eating what? An inquiring mind wants to know....please, help quiet my brain...thank you.

Hi Lisa,
I think people are just too busy and they have probably forgotten their breakfast. I was in a rush this morning so left without breakfast, boy did I regret it. But there are loads of different ways to make quick and easy snacks for the road. I usually grab a few oatmeal and fruit energy bars to keep me going.
Great! A comment! Yes, I think lots of people run on energy bars. Except, I find those leave me feeling flat after a couple of hours, sometimes even hungrier! Maybe, just maybe, breakfast is more important that we think..hmm...my mind is ticking again...
Hi Lisa how often do reckon you should have a realy good fry up,I usaly have one at least once a month.
Scottish tatie scones and all mmmmm oh YES.
Being "The most important meal of the day" I tend to pour a cup of coffee and light up a smoke. I might also add that I'm only using that to light the next one.
The full English breakfast replete with black pudding, three rounds of toast and two cups of tea, comes next.
Black pudding? What is it made of? I know I can do toast and tea in the morning but black pudding? Someone fill me in....
I like breakfast foods for dinner. Give me bacon and eggs for my evening meal and I'm happy.
Everything you want to know about Black pudding can be found here
Enjoy!
or not? Its a matter of taste.
Strangely enough, breakfast for dinner is familiar to me too. Some times bacon and eggs is just the ticket!
Hi Lisa, great blog. Where I live (Barbados) there is an old traditional breakfast (not so common these days) but I still like it, called Buljol. It consists of saltfish (salted cod) onions, sweet peppers, tomato, oil, lime juice and hot peppers. Basically all mixed up together. Its great with crackers.
FROM WIKIPEDIA:
Black pudding for breakfast, served with square sausage, baked beans, and fried bread
YES!!! Of course! I do know what that is! My mother grew up on it and my husband loves it! Only in Cuban style cooking it is used when making beans which is usually consumed at lunch or dinner.
Buljol. Sounds like something my husband would love but probably not for breakfast. Although with a beer anything goes some mornings!
Really interesting though how many different ways we eat and what tastes good for the very first meal of the day.
I love breakfast for any meal of the day! Eggs are great any time, as are waffles and pancakes!
I love waffles and pancakes and french toast...and well, anything sweet! I can pass on the eggs though...anyone else?
I make what I call "Rafts"... and I really don't know why I call them that....
Just bread that I cut a 2 inch whole in the middle... and crack an egg in the middle of it... I tend to make it like sunny side up.. so there is a little gewwwy yolk... sometimes I top it with a dressing... (syrup, ketchup, hot sauce etc) then a side of fruit..
If not, I go for oatmeal...
"Rafts" fits perfectly with your description! I can picture this new twist on the egg...
I love oatmeal..only downside is the lots of sugar I tend to add...
